Seagate external hard drive question?
I have a 300GB Seagate external hard drive that I use with my MacBook. When ever I open the hard drive folder in finder after plugging it in, to delete a file, I drag the file from the Seagate HD folder into the trash can and then empty the trash can. However the available space that is indicated in finder for the external hard drive does not go back up, it just goes down every time I add a file. What is the problem. For example if I put a 2GB file on it will say 298GB available. Then I drag it to the trash and empty the trash can, but finder indefinitel says that it still has 298GB available. What is the problem?
